We are lucky enough to be able to call The Victoria our home.  It is a theatre pub dating back to the end of the c19th, has loads of character and legend has it also it’s own ghost.

We have given the venue a bit of a spruce up recently to enhance it’s appearance and bring out the character of the venue even more.  We have also added considerably to the drinks selection on offer to include quality handpicked wines, cask ales and cocktails.

During the evenings throughout the week at the Victoria we offer a range of interesting options for your entertainment.  On Tuesdays the Sound & Vision pub quiz allows you to focus on what we all know and love the best – music and films.  Entry cost is £1, the winning team takes the pot and the pub buys the runners up team a round of drinks to commiserate! On Thursday Manhattan Loft plays chilled out Funk, Soul, Jazz, US Garage, 70s and beyond.

Each Friday Howl presents an array of Dj talent playing funk, soul and rock’ n’ roll music all the way through to 2am.

On Saturdays Vertigo raises the pulse with a background of New York disco, electro and punk funk.  Original and funky music for like-minded people.  The Victoria is open until 2am each Saturday.

All events downstairs at the Victoria are FREE entry.

Opening Times Mon to Thurs - 12pm to midnight Fri & Sat – 12pm to 2am Sundays 12pm to midnight  The first floor lounge bar plays host to events ranging from clubbing nights and live touring band nights on a weekend to book clubs, comedy nights, discussion groups and poetry nights mid-week. It is also available for FREE private hire for your party, event or meeting.  All we ask is that you guarantee to spend a minimum amount behind the bar.

We can provide you with an in-house professional PA system which is available for you to hire as well as a sound engineer for live bands and DJs to hire for parties.  Alternatively we have an adequate house music system to play your music through free of charge.
